Digirati and Amcor launch first iteration of Social Business platform

Rooven Pakkiri (Digirati, Head of Social Business) and Paul Mollahan (Digirati, Head of Services) were to invited by Global Packaging giant Amcor to assist with the official launch of the first iteration of their Social Business platform based on IBM Connections. The launch was a delivery of the live system to the Amcor Area Procurement Managers (APMs) - a team of procurement specialists spread across Europe and responsible for managing procurement in Amcor's many plants from Russia to Spain. This team rarely get a chance to meet as a group (twice a year max) and so the deployment of a Collaboration  platform was seen by Amcor senior management as an excellent way to share APM observations, insights and experiences with the clear objective of identifying cost saving opportunities through sharing of best practises and group problem solving. In addition the platform will allow Management the ability to spot patterns (over processes) and to move quickly to validate and address emerging trends based on the enterprise collaboration.
