Tourism
In our experience of building Tourism websites they are often marketing driven and so need to be very quick and flexible to update and change. Other key success factors include effective system integrations with booking engines and CRMs. Knowledge Management can also be an important ingredient when following up on customer queries with more detailed tailored responses. We have an extensive range of experience within the Tourism Sector developing Tourism Portals for organisations such as Visit Scotland, Highlands of Scotland Tourist Board and Dumfries & Galloway Tourist Board. Using Content Management Systems as the main engine we have integrated booking engines, GIS mapping and CRM systems for these organisations. These sites, along with many other niche tourism sites, are all served by the modular platform built to facilitate the easy addition of new sites with a rich range of functionality. A Knowledge Management System was also built for the Call Centre that worked in conjunction with the site so that operators could retrieve information quickly to advise customers during live calls.
For InterContinental Hotel Group we worked on the development of a Corporate Intranet. This proved to be a great way of bringing cohesion to an organisation with many disparate units, especially when those units are spread around the world. We have implemented a number of Corporate Intranets that have successfully met the challenges that these projects bring such as internationalisation, personalisation, collaboration and back-end integrations.
