Role: Support Consultant
Location: Glasgow
Digirati Requires a Support Consultant to join our helpdesk and assisist in the support and maintenance of our existing custimers. Although there is primarily a support role there will also be plenty of development work and it could lead into a consultancy position later on. The following skills and experience are desirable:
Essential:
- At least 1 years experience in a java development role, preferably developing Web Applications.
- The role can often be client facing and involve working at client sites, so good communication skills and a desire to work closely with customers is mandatory.
- Working within a small organization means that candidates must be willing to take on responsibility and use their own initiative when tackling problems.
Advantageous:
- Implementation work with Morello or other content management systems.
- Knowledge of web application containers Weblogic and Tomcat
- Experience using Java Frameworks - in particular Spring
- Experience using ASP.NET
- Experience writing build scripts using Ant
- Knowledge of IDEs such as Eclipse
- Data migration experience using tools such as XML, XML Schema, XSLT and XPath.
- Experience developing with Oracle and providing basic Oracle administration.
- Time spent in a client facing role.
- Strong analytical background.
