Analysis and Visualisation

The purpose of the analysis and visualisation phase is to define the functional requirements in as much detail as possible and in so doing lay a solid foundation for the technical design and build. Requirements are gathered, catalogued and prioritised. It is at this point that we make sure that all requirements have been captured and thought through thoroughly.

The Information Landscape is analysed and our Information Architect will design the information architecture, audit the content and determine the most suitable content groupings. Use Case Scenarios, wireframes and prototyping are used to help visualise, clarify and confirm detailed functional requirements. A selection of graphic designs are also proposed and trialled at this stage.

We are often required to assist our clients in selecting the appropriate technology to fulfil their requirements. We recommend that the most appropriate point for doing this is towards the end of this phase, any earlier runs the risk of procuring technology that is not completely suitable. Please see Technology Advice & Services in the Sevices Section for more info. Once this is done our Technical Architect will also help with the specification of the infrastructure determining the required hardware and hosting requirements.
