Project Initiation

The purpose of the Project Initiation process is to establish the high-level objectives and approach of the project. We carefully examine the key business objectives and the assumptions behind those objectives to make sure that the project is based on sound principles. We are strong believers in taking a user-led approach and so at this stage we normally recommend stakeholder engagement using interviews, surveys and workshops as well as auditing existing project artefacts. A document is drawn up defining the scope, approach, roles, responsibilities and deliverables of the project.

Key to a successful project is thorough planning. With our experience we can make sure that the project starts off with a solid foundation. Our project initiation methodology covers all the necessary dimensions of a project, providing key guidelines to ensure it will be a success. This methodology can also be adapted to initiate a procurement exercise. To facilitate the procurement process further we can create the necessary PQQ and ITT documentation. The appropriate evaluation criteria and associated model can be generated and we can follow up with independent evaluation of supplier responses and recommendations.
