Knowledge Transfer

One of the important benefits of a Content Management System is that it will allow the business user to take ownership of the publishing process rather than relying on technical staff for content based changes. In turn, technical staff are freed up to concentrate on higher level technical operations within the CMS. Formal training sessions are provided for authors, editors and administrators. Similar sessions are also run for Knowledge Management Systems. In each case these are often run in conjunction with User Acceptance Testing to ensure that the client fully understands the system that they will be required to sign off. Both generic product training and implementation-specific training can be offered and training generally works most efficiently when the two are combined.

Digirati also aims to facilitate independence for the client's technical staff as part of the initial implementation to the level that the client requires. Some clients prefer to engage Digirati for all implementation, maintenance and support on an ongoing basis. Others continue to use our resources for new implementation work while existing technical staff undertake support and maintenance. In other instances the client decides to develop later phases of implementation work themselves. Whichever path the client takes, we ensure that the transfer of knowledge is a priority using every opportunity during consultancy and implementation to pass on useful knowledge as well as formal training sessions and any necessary handover documentation.

Training can also be offered as a standalone service whereby our consultants assess client training needs for existing systems and create tailored training solutions. This can be offered even for systems that were not implemented by Digirati.
